I was browsing some cute Valentine Decorations at a local store and came across this darling geometric heart pillow and I thought it was so cute. And then it dawned on me--it is the Shine Bright Paper Piecing block with one of the triangles at the top turned into a background fabric! So, off I went to re-create this paper piecing block I love so much into a Valentine Quilt Block as well. Who knew it would be so versatile? I am apparently not all that smart ;) I used the new Blossom ... View the Post
With All My Heart Quilt Pattern
Today we are happy to release a new PDF quilt pattern just in time for Valentine's Day. We are calling it the "With All My Heart" Quilt Pattern. I love this quilt. I have no idea how many times I have sewn up this quilt....but it's more than once. It is truly one of those quick sews so I can ... View the Post

Rag Heart Wreath
Rag wreaths are the perfect scrap busting projects so when I recently came across wire heart wreath forms I knew it was the answer for my overflowing pink and red scrap bins! All you need to make these cute wreaths are: A pile of scraps cut roughly 1.5 inches wide and 8 inches long. And maybe a great movie to watch because all you have left to do is tie! tie! tie! Grab one scrap at a time and tie a double knot around 2 rungs of your wire frame...making sure to place the knot in the ... View the Post
What is Foundation Paper Piecing?
When I first started quilting, one of the things that really confused me (as in all new hobbies) were some of the terms, or even slang terms, that other quilters used for the techniques in quilting. And "fpp" was one of those terms that I couldn't figure out for a long time! I even googled it once and came up with a software program that I thought quilters were using to make quilt blocks---ha! But no, "fpp" is the slang term for foundation paper piecing--a quilting technique that really is ... View the Post
