Today I am so excited to share our friend Bev's brand new book called "Vintage Home Sewing". Excited not just because it is filled with darling projects punctuated with Bev's signature embroidery style... ...and not just because each project is sewn up with the lovely fabric line that she designed for Riley Blake....which we love and have used in several projects in the past like this version of our Make-It-Over-The-Weekend Quilt... ...but because it gives us a chance to talk ... Rag Heart Wreath
Rag wreaths are the perfect scrap busting projects so when I recently came across wire heart wreath forms I knew it was the answer for my overflowing pink and red scrap bins! All you need to make these cute wreaths are: A pile of scraps cut roughly 1.5 inches wide and 8 inches long. And maybe a great movie to watch because all you have left to do is tie! tie! tie! Get To Know Yourself Journal Questions
I've said it before and I will say it again...I love journaling....I currently have at least 5 different journals going...all at the same time. I keep a running journal, a gratitude journal, a journal to write to my kids in, a "line a day" journal, etc. But recently my mind turned to a different kind of journal. It all started with a conversation I had with a group of teenage girls. (A few of my current journals) We were talking about what they like...easy enough right...well, not ... View the Post
All My X’s Quilt
I finished this quilt last fall, but then realized I never posted it so you probably saw a few sneak peeks on instagram but never the full quilt. I used our Shine Bright Fabric line and the tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Company called "All My X's" and I love the way the quilt came out. I used a 10" stacker instead of the 5" squares and just cut them down and it worked perfectly. So, if you have a stacker laying around it's a good way to put it to use! I did add a border to the ...
