While out shopping the other week, we came across these darling headbands. And although they were adorable, I wasn't up to the $24 dollar price tag that went with them. I told Hannie that I think we can make something similar that are still super cute. So, we came home and started on some proto-types to see if we could make some at home. We had about 4 different attempts but we finally found what we both were looking for! They are made from existing 1" angled headbands and they are so ... View the Post
Starting at Square One Quilt Pattern (sewn up in Shine Bright)
I love this quilt pattern. It is our Starting at Square One Quilt Pattern and a few months back I used it to make this toddler quilt using our Shine Bright fabric. The quilt itself finishes up at 50" by 50" which is the size that I love for lap quilts but is also the perfect size for my 7 year old to use for, what we call them at our house, a "couch quilt". However, this particular quilt was made for a brand new arrival and should make a great floor quilt for the sweet ... View the Post

I love the look of this block and you really can make it out of any traditional or modern fabrics and it will look great. I used a whole bunch of scraps ... View the Post

Peaches N’ Cream Quilt in Azure Skies
Our church group got together the last couple of months and sewed 15 quilts for all the girls in our congregation. All of the girls were graduating from high school, and it was quite the feat to pull off. But, we did it! So, a couple of weeks ago we presented 15 quilts to 15 girls for their upcoming adventures to all over the world. We used one of our favorite patterns to sew all the quilt tops so they would all be the same. But we could assembly line sew them up as well. We used the Peaches ... View the Post

Ever wondered where the tomato pin cushion comes from? Well, we did so we did a little digging and discovered it's origins. What we found was so interesting that we shared it as our first segment of I've Got a Notion on our Quilting Podcast Stitched (That you you can listen to HERE.)
