So, I'm finally doing it...putting items on etsy.My friend Beth, who is a wiz with a camera and all things technical, took the pictures and formatted them so I could upload them to our shop. (Thanks again Beth.) Then this morning I began adding them in.I chose a handful of my favorites (all made after the manner of my family and friends) and those will be the ones I make and sell in my shop. The peggie in the picture above is "Grace" and has white hair and ruffles just like my baby girl Grace.I ... View the Post
Slowing Down
We just returned from spending some time up at Island Park. (A beautiful area up in the Targee National Forest just outside of Yellowstone National Park.)It seemed a fairly inopportune time to go...a cabin trip sandwiched in between the marathon, family weddings, the art show, and country fair that we just completed but right before art camps, the start of the school year (when I start teaching preschool again), and the slew of upcoming boutiques, and more weddings. (I actually think I bought both the trim and button at Jo-Ann's.)To make them just measure your baby's wrist and cut the elastic about 1/4 inch longer ... View the Post
Thanks for the Great Weekend!
Thank you to everyone who came up to Midway for the Country Fair. We had a great time and met a lot of fun people. I can't wait until we are back up there for Swiss Days in September! My brain is overflowing with ideas for new items and decorations.*PS---I am THE WORST at taking pictures. The photos of our booth are both crooked and blurry. This is the only in focus shot I had to post. It is from the peg person corner as I was in the process of setting it up Thursday morning. ... View the Post
$5 Friday…Dish Towels
These are some dish towels I recently made for a bridal shower.I bought the dish towels at the local dollar store for a dollar each and then used scraps from my bin to make the flowers. (Which brings the total for this project to---$5 plus tax.)Just grab a dish towel, cut some fabric in the shape you want and stitch it on. That's all. I don't heat and bond it, stitch around the edges, iron anything, or even use pins. I just plop down the shapes and and start sewing. (I leave about 1/4 inch seam ... View the Post
