A Five Minute Headband.

It's my day today....have you noticed that Liz and I trade off and post every other day?  It makes it nice for use...and I get to see her projects too. So, when making the Vintage Easter dress I wanted a simple headband for her simple dress.  So, I literally grabbed what I had and made a 5 minute headband before running out to take pictures.  This headband is in no way new or exciting, but I liked it.  Mostly, because I love simple, classic styles. Spring Cleaning…of the Crafting Sort.

Remember some of these projects? A Spring Jumper.

Liz is usually the jumper girl....but this time it's my turn.  I used THIS Simplicity pattern from the 99 cent sale last fall.  I still need to rework the bodice, it turned out super huge under the armpits.  See?  And this time I lined the bodice.....so it will be an unpicking session to fix it.  So, it's back on the sewing pile.  But I did at least get a picture to post for today before the thunderstorm hit.  That's a bit of good news.I love this fabric.  It is polished cotton that was on SALE ... Gracie’s Easter Outfit

So here is the dress I finally settled on making--seeing how it was my second attempt, I decided to go with something plain and simple.But then I added her accessories.........like the tulle and bird headband I made on a whim...the pearl necklace I bought at Hobby Lobby...and of course the lace leggings and gloves....and the outfit went crazy!!! An Easter Post

So, one Easter outfit has been ready for awhile....it's just Hannah's dress that is giving me grief (dress #2 actually).  Hopefully I can finish it up this morning and show you tonight...(if the weather is good enough for some pictures.  I have this idea for a photo shoot.....and I need good weather.)
