Earlier this month we were able to take a trip to my favorite place on earth----Disneyland.Yes, it really is my favorite place on earth and I could talk about why for hours and hours. However, that is not what this post is about.Today's post is about this, my favorite photo from the vacation. It's a photo of my dad taking a picture of my Grace.I don't know if any of you will know what I am asking when I say, "Do you ever take pictures with your heart---when you see something that you want to ... The Pajama Game, part 2
Here are the boys' jammies, well just one boy, the other one is wearing his. I used this vintage pattern for their little man pajamas. And since the pattern was smack dab in the middle of the boys sizes, I sized one pair up....and one pair down and luckily it worked! My favorite part....the orange vintage buttons that I just happened to find seven of. Four for the big boy, and three on the little boy's shirts. I seriously love vintage buttons. And just a reminder....Project Run and ... View the Post
The Pajama Game
Today I am sharing with you the kids' holiday jammies that they opened for Christmas Eve. As much as I love the look of holiday print jammies {I wish I would have done some for the whole season} I just wanted something a little more year-round because I started so late in the pajama game. So, I went with orange and navy. A good combo for the boys and a girl....and thankfully I did get them done (allbeit, Christmas Eve morning....but they did get their buttons on!) This is the nightgown I made ... View the Post
Some Things I Had to Wait Until After Christmas to Share Plus Two Excellent Things
Ok, so there were a few things that I needed to wait until after Christmas to share. Like this guy: He's one of a series that I made for my little brother who is a big Simpson's fan. Next I painted the drawings in with acrylic paint and drew over the top of them with a black colored pencil. ... View the Post
Merry Christmas… at 1 O’Clock in the Morning
It's after 1 in the morning and I'm taking a break from my painting to write my post for the day.(And to eat some cookies while watching an episode of Oddities. Does anyone else watch that show or am I the only creepy person out there? Wait, don't answer that question.)I love Christmas and I love painting but whatever isn't finished by 5:00 tomorrow just isn't going to get done. That is my cut off and from then on it's baking and wrapping and playing with the kids and NO MORE CRAFTING OR ... View the Post
Grandma Ruth’s French Chocolate
(source)One of my favorite traditions as a child was Christmas breakfast. It was the one day of the year when we got to drink Grandma Ruth's hot chocolate or "French Chocolate" as we called it. There's absolutely nothing French about it....but I can promise you that it is absolutely delicious. We always had an egg casserole (an egg strata), cinnamon rolls and as much of this hot chocolate as we could drink; stirring it with candy canes and always leaving the table with ginormous chocolate ...
