A Handmade Christmas: Visions of Sugar Plums

I promised you the holiday version of the Morton Salt Girl dress today and here it is.  The only thing I did differently was to lengthen the skirt to make it knee-length and add a ribbon sash.  Otherwise, it is the exact same dress.Purple was the requested color, so I obliged with a dark purple (plum) taffeta and a light purple satin for the lining and ribbon sash around the middle.  And even more lucky for me, the day we did the photo shoot she had just returned from a day of "hair, make-up and ... When it rains…..

I told you I was waiting to share Hannie's Halloween costume and I finally got the tutorial done for you today.  Last year for Halloween she went as Audrey Hepburn, and this year she decided a long time ago that she wanted "to be someone old again."  Which to her, meant different.  She was adamant that she wanted to have a costume that no one else had. Angel Shirts…For the Holidays…For Sisters Big and Little

 If you've followed along with us for anytime now you know that if there is something I love, it's feathers for Grace (like these dresses and this fascinator) and angel wings for Ruth (like this onesie and this slip).  So it only seems natural that this year for the holidays I would make them big and little sister angel shirts...with feathers and wings.
