Skirting the Issue: Car Caddy from Homemade by Jill
Another story.... As a youth and in college I used to visit and volunteer at a Women's Crisis Center and then later at a Drop-off Crisis Center for children. Usually my volunteer job was to go to the kid's room and play.....not a hard job....but well worth it to a teenager's soul. There we played games with the children, read them stories, rocked the babies and even once we threw them an "Unbirthday PArty" complete with balloons, cake, streamers and small presents. I can vividly in my mind's ... View the Post

A No-Sew Polar Fleece Blanket Tutorial
Ruth has had 2 scheduled trips to the hospital this year. Both times I was a nervous wreck. Both times her procedures were simple but I still cried both times when they took her away from me. And both times Ruth struggled with coming to from the anesthesia. It was rough...like night terror screaming for extended periods of time in the recovery room with 3 nurses helping us to hold her and keep her safe and breathing rough. The last time we were at the hospital they were prepared for us ... View the Post
