Days to Celebrate:  July Holidays

Tomorrow is the first day of July. (I can't believe that June is over!)  And so that means we need to list the days to celebrate for the upcoming month. There is always something to celebrate...everyday is special and the month of July is no exception.  Dates I plan to observe this month (aside from the 4th) are the 9th, 13th, 20th, and the 24th...and maybe a few others!  :) ... Hello! Welcome to our 9th week of Sewing Saturdays!  Hooray! Now...before we get to it we have a few announcements to make.  Next week we will begin our month long Skirting the Issue Event here at Simple Simon and Company.  We love this event and are so very excited for these next few weeks. Homemade Frozen Lemonade Recipe

One Spring during my college years I lived in Portugal and we had the most glorious lemon tree out our front door.  Our hosts told us we could pick as many as we would like...and little did they know, we girls could drink a lot of freshly made lemonade.  I didn't know about simple syrup back them so we just used straight sugar...and we would always have a ring of sugar around the bottom of our glasses, but by golly those were the best glasses of lemonade I have ever had.  It was so hot outside ...
