Last month was national serger month and we were lucky enough to help celebrate by contributing a project for an ebook put together by Baby Lock. The serger that I use happens to be a Baby Lock brand serger and I am IN LOVE with it. I wasn't sure that I would ever use or even want a serger but now, after having my own, I use it just as often as I use my sewing machine and wonder what I ever did without it. So, when we were asked if we wanted to contribute a project I jumped at the chance ... View the Post
Cute Cactus Picks
Recently I have been loving my little cacti and have an entire army of them around my house with most of them hanging out in my entry way. They look so cheerful all lined up there on the table where I come and go everyday that I thought it would be fun to have them all giving my visitors little greetings. ... View the Post
A Leap TO Faith
Yesterday I was on one of our flights home from quilt market when I ran across a short little article in one of those Sky Magazine things. Admittedly I was tired, still not well, and very ready to see my family but I when I read these few simple paragraphs they left a large impression. The jist of the article was this: Apparently the phrase "leap of faith" has a blurry past and while it is attributed to Kierkegaard he was never noted for saying that. However, he has been recorded ... View the Post
Four Corners Fabric Line
Today liZ and I are beginning our journey at Quilt Market with our new fabric line...and we are both so nervous. But in the meantime while we put on our courage and set up our small space at Market, we created a video for you all to see a little more about our new fabric line with Riley Blake Designs, Four ... They always wake up a day older…
The other day my four year old and I were sitting at the table and eating snacks. I was sipping a soda and he was munching on a bowl of Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish® crackers... something we've both been doing for years. He was telling me all about his field trip to the farm the day before and did I realize how stinky the pigs really were, and how there was a baby horse that lives with the goats and how hilarious that was....and it was one of those mornings that I want to remember. Just one of ... View the Post
I Promise It Won’t Be Boring
This is the perfect quote for today. Sure it's almost dinner time and I'm just putting up the post for the day but that's not because I've been lounging around. In fact, I just got home and as I pulled in the driveway with my phone ringing, Grace singing, and Ruth calling first dibs on the sidewalk chalk I started to laugh. For the past few weeks everyday has been like today, a non stop whirlwind of work, chores, kids, meetings, homework, doctors appointments, and deadlines. So as I ... View the Post
