A couple of weeks ago I got on a scrap busting mission and decided to make some quilt-as-you go panels that I could turn into different projects later. And then this week, I sewed up some of the panels into quilt-as-you-go zipper pouches for some easy gifts when I need them. I really do love the QAYG method (quilt-as-you-go) method because it turns wonky scraps into some great things! Here's how you make the zipper pouches if you need to make a few for yourself and for gifts! ... View the Post
Simple DIY Beach Towel Tutorial
Last month was national serger month and we were lucky enough to help celebrate by contributing a project for an ebook put together by Baby Lock. The serger that I use happens to be a Baby Lock brand serger and I am IN LOVE with it. I wasn't sure that I would ever use or even want a serger but now, after having my own, I use it just as often as I use my sewing machine and wonder what I ever did without it. So, when we were asked if we wanted to contribute a project I jumped at the chance ... View the Post
Cute Cactus Picks
Recently I have been loving my little cacti and have an entire army of them around my house with most of them hanging out in my entry way. They look so cheerful all lined up there on the table where I come and go everyday that I thought it would be fun to have them all giving my visitors little greetings. ... View the Post
A Leap TO Faith
Yesterday I was on one of our flights home from quilt market when I ran across a short little article in one of those Sky Magazine things. However, he has been recorded ... View the Post

Today liZ and I are beginning our journey at Quilt Market with our new fabric line...and we are both so nervous. It's like those days back in Seventh Grade PE class when you are wondering if anyone is going to pick you for their team, or if anyone will even like you. It's a bit terrifying... But in the meantime while we put on our courage and set up our small space at Market, we created a video for you all to see a little more about our new fabric line with Riley Blake Designs, Four ... They always wake up a day older…
The other day my four year old and I were sitting at the table and eating snacks. I was sipping a soda and he was munching on a bowl of Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish® crackers... something we've both been doing for years. He was telling me all about his field trip to the farm the day before and did I realize how stinky the pigs really were, and how there was a baby horse that lives with the goats and how hilarious that was....and it was one of those mornings that I want to remember. Just one of ... View the Post
