We thought today felt like a good day for a give away. (Or two...or three...) So that is just what we are going to do! Here's how it works: Here on the blog we are giving away one of our (paper) maxi skirt patterns along with two yards of some of our Four Corners knit and elastic...which means you will have everything to make your own maxi skirt with! On the Go Bags Book Review
Are you as much of a "bag lady" as I am? I love bags. And not just purses....I just love bags. I feel like I am constantly carrying a million things around and liZ and I are always trading stuff with different bags that go back and forth to each of our houses. I even have a whole shelf in the mud room devoted to bags. Most of which are sad and not-so-cute and could definitely use an upgrade. So, recently when we were given the opportunity to review a fun new handmade book called On-the-Go ... View the Post
Great Books To Give (and Receive) for Christmas
There is a quote from a book written by Barry Lopez called "Crow and Weasel" that says, "Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive." I love that quote. I have it hanging in our family work room. And I believe it...stories are like magic. They can teach lessons, change moods, preserve histories, and help us see things from a different perspective. Like the Log Cabin the Courthouse Steps block is built around ... View the Post

Home for the Holidays Quilt Block Tutorial
Each one of my kiddos has a quilt that I have made them for their beds...so now it's time to start adding a holiday quilt to every one's beds. I figure if I make one a year, before everyone leaves the house they will all have two quilts made by their momma. That's the plan anyway....we'll see how it goes ;) I started this year with Hannie's Christmas Quilt which I have titled "Home for the Holidays" quilt. I made a coordinating pillow and the full tutorial can be found on baby lock's ... View the Post
