A year and a half ago Elizabeth and I were lucky enough to debut our first fabric line with Riley Blake Designs. The line was called "Four Corners" and was a perfect representation of where each of our styles meet in the middle. (You can watch the video with all the details about it HERE.) As nerdy as it sounds...it was kind of like a dream come true...we couldn't believe that we had a fabric line...us...who were we to have a fabric line...and yet...there it was! It was so exciting. Poinsettia Pillow Tutorial (and Pattern)
A few weeks back I got to create (and share how to make) fun Poinsettia Pillows with my church group and today I'm going to share those same Poinsettia Pillows here on the blog. These pillows are super easy to make and were inspired by a photo that a friend showed me of a poinsettia pillow from Pottery Barn...and while mine may not be from Pottery Barn I still think they turned out pretty cute! It's turned into a fun mommy and me time...and those moments with 11 year olds are fewer and farther between, so I will take all that I can get! Today for the Art of Homemaking Hannie and I are sharing one of our ... View the Post

And this year, she decided she wanted to be Ella from the new Cinderella movie....but not the gown dress...she wanted the peasant dress girl dress. So, we found some pictures and a similar pattern and went to town this week making the ... View the Post

Halloween Mini Quilts–Part II
At the beginning of October I got the idea to make some modern mini quilts to hang up for decorations around the house. And then one day I stumbled upon some darling quilt blocks from a quilt block of the month club (I think it was in Arizona???) and knew they would be the cutest mini quilts. The original designs were paper pieced, but I decided to change them up to use bigger sized blocks and not paper piece them. So, I got out some graph paper and went to town sketching. I have spent the last ... View the Post
