Today we are over at the Moda Bake Shop sharing how to make Gracie's Love Bunny Skirt. (She's wearing it in this photo although you can't see it very well. But, you can head over THERE to check it out.) And while we are over there sharing the skirt we are over here sharing the pattern and instructions on how to make her matching love bunny doll. To make this love bunny you'll need to print out the pattern which you can find HERE. Once you have that printed cut out 2 of the bodies ... View the Post
A Valentine Skirt.
Last week I made Hannie a skirt for Valentine's Day. I should have been working on a costume for a 5th grade wax museum project, but I just wanted to sew something fun. I started with The Vintagely Modern Skirt as the base. The only alteration I made to the original skirt was to make the waistband larger and added extra-heavy fusible interfacing to make it stand up well. (I cut the waistband piece 6.5 inches so the finished waistband is 3 inches tall.) I then added the heart pocket. I ... View the Post
Valentine’s Day Quiver with Arrows to Deliver Tutorial
Right now Grace is obsessed with the movie BRAVE. And she is dying for her own bow and arrow set. So the other day while Ruth napped and we had the house to ourselves we made up some super easy arrows for her to give out on Valentine's Day and a quiver for her to carry them in. Sure, it's not an official BRAVE set but for now she's pretty excited and I think they will be fun for her to hand out on Valentine's Day. So I thought I'd share with you how we made them in case your little girl ... View the Post
Vintage Santa Napkin Holder Tutorial

A Handmade Christmas: Reusable Christmas Bags
This post was originally done for Riley Blake's Design Team Wednesday, but you still have time to make some if you need to.... At Christmas each year we have a tradition that our kids can open one present on Christmas Eve, which is always a new, sparkling set of pajamas for Christmas morning pictures. It's a fun tradition and the kids love it....but it has always been a hassle finding those presents under the tree. So, I had an idea to make reusable Christmas bags that we can use ... View the Post
Holiday Photobooth Props (Printable Patterns)
Remember when the photo booth prop rage was going on? And everyone was putting mustache's and funny glasses on sticks? Well, in the middle of all that I kept thinking it would be cute to do some seasonal photo props on a stick to play with at family gatherings. When Halloween came around I started some really fun ones but then I never finished them...or photographed them...BUT the other day I had all the kids home with the flu and for fun (and to break up the boredom) we made some ...
