Happy Monday morning everyone!!!!! Our new blog layout is up, there were no catastrophic picture deletions and we are so grateful for that (oh, the crazy nightmares of bloggers) and this month we are excited to start our "What I Wish I'd Known When I Started Sewing" Series (tomorrow!). And while we are gearing up for that, we also get to participate in Crazy Little Projects Sew Crazy Monthly Challenge. Amber is hosting a new series about taking on some sewing challenges! Fabric Scraps Ornament Tutorial
I shared this tutorial a couple of weeks ago, but you still have time to whip some up....I think they would look darling on the top of a present! (And watch over on Facebook today for us to announce the winner of our quilt giveaway!) Hi everyone! I am Elizabeth, one half of the duo of sisters-in-law who blog at Simple Simon and Company. And if there is one thing that we love at Simple Simon, it's a great simple sewing project that can be done in an afternoon. With that being said, ... View the Post
Easy Holiday Ear Warmers
Recently while fabric shopping at Joann Fabric and Crafts, I spied ear warmers and gloves in their dollar bins. I thought that they would make some great last-minute holiday gifts for some girls on our list so I grabbed quite a few sets. I then ran over to grab some wool felt and pompoms and I knew we had all the supplies for a perfect afternoon of crafting. And then Hannie saw them and thought that they would make perfect gifts for her friends. So, last week, we spent some time after ... View the Post
DIY Giant Wooden Dominoes (A Homemade Christmas Gift Success Story)

Then he used a saw to cut the middle notch. (Being careful not to cut through the domino.) And ... View the Post
Polar Fleece Scarf Tutorial

And the more I reflect the more thankful I become and the more thankful I become the more I feel the need to do something for others. So every year I find a project that my family and I can do together and donate. This year I chose scarves. Scarves were actually the first project that I had my family do way back when I started this Thanksgiving tradition ... View the Post
Christmas Postcards Tutorial
A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to send something "handmade" to a group of our online friends for Christmas....but I couldn't think of what I could possibly hand make that would be personal. Then it dawned on me...some handmade postcards! I could cut them out, sprinkle them with some sewing, and hand write a personal message on them. It was perfect! (Sure it's not a pieced quilt but still...) So the other night I got to work and in less than 30 minutes they were all made and ... View the Post
