Happy St. Patrick's Day! Back when I taught junior high I would give each of my students a shamrock note on St. Patrick's day. And on that note it would say why I was lucky to have them for a student. The notes took me awhile to write. But it was a tradition and even though I only taught school for 7 years I never missed a a year...or a student. Some notes were easier to write than others. Some students were so easy to connect with and were such a joy to have in class while others ... View the Post
2015 Word of the Year: Araneae
Last month we were asked by the SNAP CONFERENCE to share our word for 2015 over on their site. The word I chose was "Araneae". I know....it's not even a verb...but after a lot of thinking I realized it was the only word that I could pick for this year...and if you are wondering why that is you can read on. ... View the Post

And while those are all worthy goals, I was thinking that maybe there were some other goals that rarely get set. And these resolutions ... View the Post
Gratefulness and a Shift Dress
"Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart." ~A.A. Milne Lately, I have been feeling so grateful for the small things in my life. When Liz and I started this project, we had no idea that this small piece of the interweb would become so important to us.....and I don't think it's really about the sewing. Sure I love to sew. Love it. But what I am feeling most grateful for right about now is you. All of those that take of their time to come here and visit us ... View the Post
