Ok--total spoiler ahead. If you haven't watched last night's episode of Project Runway.....DON'T READ ON. Go watch it. Then, come back.I had a $5 Friday post all ready....but we just have to talk Project Runway today. I am still baffled that two designers went home. THEY WENT HOME. I am not getting it. I don't want to judge them, because I am not in their shoes---but it all just seems so confusing to me?They make audition pieces, go through multiple rounds of auditions and all of the ... Thrifted Thursday: The Holy Grail of Thrifting—Diamond Girl
Sooooo last month I got to go to a concert that I have been excited about all summer. That's right ladies...I got to see the one and only... *Neil Diamond* WAAAHOOOOOO!!! No I'm not kidding. Yes I really went. Yes I really wanted to. And no, this wasn't the first time I've seen him in concert. There are three things I want to say about this and then I have 2 questions to ask: #1. The point of this post: Most people who thrift have some sort of Holy Grail they are searching for---that one ... View the Post
Material Girl and a Lunch Date.
One of the other highlights of going to the Midwest this summer was getting to go shopping and lunching with the lovely Lindsay, aka The Cottage Home Mama. She is ever as lovely in person as she is on her blog and it was such a pleasure to shop, laugh, eat and chat. I was actually supposed to be somewhere and we just kept chatting and chatting and chatting that I didn't even realize the time had gone by so quickly and I was late for a family function. (Shhhhh....don't tell my family that ... View the Post

The LA Fashion District–part II
Today I am sharing my pictures from LA. Yes, everything Liz told you is true....even the part about me holding onto the emergency exit door until the plane touched the ground. I am not a very good flyer in turbulence and the fact that we were landing in a CRAZY, ridiculous wind storm didn't help matters. But it was such a fun, whirlwind trip..... Here is the FIDM store....which is awesome! This is a must-do.This is The Loft which is part of Michael Levine. And this is what most of the fabric ... View the Post
Thrifted Thursday—A Thread Shelf
I know that I say this every week...but I think this is one of my most favorite thrifted items ever! It was at a garage sale and priced at $5.00, but I had to have it. I am in the middle of a sewing corner re-do (which I think is going to take forever...because I just keep changing my mind) and knew it would be a perfect place to store thread and thimbles. And I LOVE that it is made from old measuring sticks and rulers. Isn't it awesome?Liz and I were talking the other day...that we are those ... View the Post
