As I have mentioned before, we have been watching The Brady Bunch on PBS in the early evenings mostly to clam (or calm) the crazies while I make dinner. And I have been obsessed with Cindy Brady's dresses. Well, the pattern that I chose was just that. A 60's throwback.I did change it up a bit. I wanted bell sleeves like view A, but when I got them sewn on they didn't look so good, so I put 1/4 inch elastic in the bottom which worked perfectly. Also, there was supposed to be a zipper in the ... View the Post
A new pattern…and a new dress.
After our pattern field trip this last week, I have been itching to start one. So, I chose this one. I have been in love with these dresses from Katiedid (I am sad that a crazy ruined her blog for everyone....she ... View the Post
A Christmas Dress
I made Hannah a Christmas dress...but then I changed my mind on family Christmas colors (am I indecisive or what?)....so this is just the first of two. I wanted a vintagey feel so I made a simple shift dress and added a strip of vintage 1950's lace that I found at a garage sale this summer to the collar. I love the simplicity of it. ... View the Post
