Can I just tell you upfront about the happy dance I did when finding this truck? Isn't is awesome? And how when I asked the owner to take a picture in front of it, he said he normally shoos people away but since I asked he totally said yes. Score for asking. I have clam diggers on the brain. I had quite a few pairs when I was little and I loved the fact that both my mom and grandma called them clam diggers. (Ok, at the time I probably told them they were weird....but now it is such an ... View the Post
Spring Fever: A White Skirt
I love white for Spring and Summer. I just do. I actually made this skirt last Spring....but it was way to big for Hannie to wear. Well, this year it fits perfectly, which makes me very happy. I made this skirt the exact same way I made the Pink Tulle Ruffle Skirt, but used white cotton (kona...my fave as you probably guessed) for the skirt and the ruffles. I serged the edges of the ruffles so they wouldn't fray, but if you don't have a serger you can always use pinking shears or a ... View the Post
$ 5 Friday: Another 70’s Dress.
I gave the preview a couple of days ago and now it's finished. We had a FREEZING photo shoot, one cute and spunky girl, some balloons that were blowing everywhere.... and here are the results..... I know that lots of people make their own, but to tell the truth, I have not had much luck with tracing existing clothing.....I find that along the way I am making weird and crazy adjustments that I could have avoided in the first place. So, I use mostly paper patterns....and for the most part...I hardly make any adjustments. They are tested and usually very well-done and I just love them. Don't get me wrong, I still pull a bodice from here and a skirt from here and a ... View the Post

*This tutorial is for personal use only. Please contact us to buy a limited-use permit to sell any item made from this tutorial.* The tutorial you (or I should say I) have been on pins and needles for..... The Bustle Skirt. A couple of notes that people have asked that are not answered in the tutorial. What type of fabric did you use? Both the yellow and the purple skirts are bottomweight fabric. The yellow fabric was $1.50 on red tag clearance, which I think I ... View the Post
A Pincushion.
Someone asked me about the pincushion that was on the skirt segment.....and so I am posting a picture. I just made it up but I found a great tutorial that will probably be easier than my made-up way. Also if you haven't voted, will you please? Here is the link...and it's #2 "The bustle skirt." Thanks all. ... View the Post
