{It must be the week of sewing skirts for ourselves...first Liz's....and today mine. And we never sew for ourselves! Liz's was darling, but mine....ummmm....I think I will stick to kiddie things.} I made this skirt out of a Pottery Barn Crib skirt that was NEW in its packaging at the thrift store for $4.....SCORE! You saw on Tuesday what I did with the inside white part (it was over a yard of fabric inside....) And then I decided to make a skirt for me out of the bottom ruffles. So ... View the Post
A 4th of July Cover Up
I showed you the boys' shorts on Friday....and here is Hannie's. As I said before, I kind of decided to do an understated 4th this year, and seersucker was calling my name. And since we were going to be with family at the lake this year for the 4th, I knew that we would be in and out of swimsuits all day...so Hannie's outfit turned into a 4th of July Swimsuit cover-up complete with a rounded collar and a few pintucks on the front for details.I actually made this dress out of a Pottery Barn crib ... Some new shorts

As I said before, all of our boys needed shorts. So, I got busy for ... View the Post

For some reason that series got me to thinking about the summers of my childhood. All those memories were filled with warmth, and sunsets, and the smell of ... View the Post
A Vintage Jumper
I used this vintage pattern.... (sorry for the crappy picture--the pattern itself has a super fuzzy image) to make this vintage jumper. I found this vintage 1950's fabric panel at an estate sale last summer--and fell in love with it. I had been holding/ hoarding it for a year, until I spied this pattern and thought that it would be darling together. I had some green fabric (binding left over from the Doll quilts), turquoise piping that matched perfectly....and some darling green vintage ... View the Post
