Here are the boys' jammies, well just one boy, the other one is wearing his. I used this vintage pattern for their little man pajamas. And since the pattern was smack dab in the middle of the boys sizes, I sized one pair up....and one pair down and luckily it worked! My favorite part....the orange vintage buttons that I just happened to find seven of. Four for the big boy, and three on the little boy's shirts. I seriously love vintage buttons. And just a reminder....Project Run and ... View the Post
The Pajama Game
Today I am sharing with you the kids' holiday jammies that they opened for Christmas Eve. As much as I love the look of holiday print jammies {I wish I would have done some for the whole season} I just wanted something a little more year-round because I started so late in the pajama game. So, I went with orange and navy. A good combo for the boys and a girl....and thankfully I did get them done (allbeit, Christmas Eve morning....but they did get their buttons on!) This is the nightgown I made ... View the Post
Caps For Sale
In case you missed this a few weeks ago, we participated in Katy's Once Upon a Thread series and made these outfits based on this children's book that we love: The book Caps For Sale, by Esphyr Slodbodkina, is the story of a mustached peddler who wears his entire stock of caps on his head and strolls through towns and villages chanting, "Caps! A Vintagely Modern Skirt
Today we are over at Sewing in No Man's Land sharing in Kelly's 12 skirts of Christmas...which, by the way, did you see her Anthropologie knockoff? Absolutely darling. See you there!!! P.S. Can I tell you how nervous I was to send pictures to Kelly especially because that girl is one amazing photographer? Add to that the fact that we haven't seen the sun in days......argh......so when you go over there.....pretty please don't judge my pictures against hers. (That's all I ask....) P.P.S ... A Christmas Jumper…finished!
(It's been so dreary here....so bad lighting (and an outlet!)....sorry.)I got the final hem done on the dress and it is ready to go for our Holiday events! I am now on the lookout for some knee socks (we are going total 70's little girl with this look). I found some at Target a while back but they have disappeared (or at least for now). Anyone found any cute white knee socks lately?I also am in LOVE with that little white blouse. I sewed it from this vintage pattern but I am plugging away ... View the Post
Easy sewing projects….
I haven't had much time to sew lately, but I am hoping to get back into the swing of things soon. I have a whole list of holiday gifts to get made....yikes.But, here is one little project from this week. It's the denim Starboard Skirt for my niece Emma and an easy cape and felt hat to match. Not that they will be worn all together, but I took the picture together so I could get them sent off. {Too bad the package is still sitting on my counter to be mailed, sorry Becca....I promise ...
