The LA Fashion District–part II

Vintage Pocket Wrap Skirt.

Today's project was one that I cut out about a month ago...and finally finished today.  It is from a 1968 vintage wrap skirt pattern that was a girls size 8. So, I did some math (super hard for me sometimes) and sized it down to a 5/6, and luckily it worked!  (I love it when that happens). The main skirt is chambray and the pockets and wrap part (it essentially wraps in the back) are some vintage cotton that I found at an estate sale that I LOVE. Vintagely Modern Skirt for Summer

I have been thinking for a while now that it was time to update The Vintagely Modern Skirt for summer.  And because I am obsessed with making them in stripes (I did a black and white one for winter) I chose hot pink and white for summer. An Updated Units Style Jumper

 I warned you I'd be posting another Units project today... and I really like this one. A lot. Back in the day when I wore "Units" I had a particular favorite.  It was a one piece, grey and white striped, sleeveless, boat neck jumper.  I LOVED it and wore it all the time with either a white or hot pink waistband. An Updated Peasant Dress
