This week I am sharing a few of our back-to-school outfits with "pops of neon." I showed you the Bateau Dress already and up today is a neon pink skirt that was a big hit at first sight. I am sharing all the details over at Riley Blake's blog today.... See you there!!! ~Elizabeth ... View the Post
8 is Great Party…
My girlie recently turned eight and while I don't usually do big parties (yes, I am lame and I totally admit it) I did do a family luncheon for her baptism day for family and some friends. The first thing you all need to know is that when we just invite family over....it's still a big group (think 7 siblings that live close plus spouses and kids)....so I think we planned for close to 50 people. And since it was August and over 100 degrees outside we decided an indoor lunch party was the best idea. ... The Bateau Dress
My fall calendar is looking like chicken scratch with all the events on it right now and it's not even September yet! Let me first say that I don't have a dedicated sewing ... View the Post

She thought the whole thing was very exciting because it meant she got to have her own photoshoot with someone other than her mom. We even put on a little bit of blush and mascara and hurried out one evening to catch the "golden hour" sun and the pictures turned out so beautifully. For the dress, I ... View the Post
Skirting the Issue: A Blanket Tutorial
Years ago, I sat in a hospital room with Hannie who was 18 months old at the time. She had gotten a horrible stomach virus and wasn't keeping anything down for days. I remember when I took her into the doctor they sent us straight to the hospital. It was a scary 24 hours....and I vividly remember she didn't even flinch when they stuck the IV needle in her. That was the moment I knew she was pretty sick. After a couple of hours on IV's she began to stabilize and I could see the coloring ... View the Post
