My girlie recently turned eight and while I don't usually do big parties (yes, I am lame and I totally admit it) I did do a family luncheon for her baptism day for family and some friends.The first thing you all need to know is that when we just invite family over....it's still a big group (think 7 siblings that live close plus spouses and kids)....so I think we planned for close to 50 people.And since it was August and over 100 degrees outside we decided an indoor lunch party was the best idea. ... Today I'm taking part in the Studio Spotlight series at The Sewing Loft and Ellison Lane. All week they are spotlighting sewing spaces all over blog land.  And today you get to see into my space. My only little girlie was baptized a couple of weeks ago.....and it was such a good day. My neighbor and friend Alexia took these pictures of her a week or so before in her white dress.  She thought the whole thing was very exciting because it meant she got to have her own photoshoot with someone other than her mom.  We even put on a little bit of blush and mascara and hurried out one evening to catch the "golden hour" sun and the pictures turned out so beautifully.
