Today we are excited to share with you our By Popular Demand Quilt Pattern sewn up in our brand new When Skies Are Grey fabrics! Our By Popular Demand Quilt Pattern is a free tutorial that you can find HERE. (The original pattern uses squares that are 4.5" x 4.5" and creates a quilt that finishes up at 48" x 56"...however...you can use larger or smaller squares as desired just as long as all your squares are the same size.) I wanted to use a pattern that would allow me to use many of ... View the Post
Stitched Episode 11: Forever in Blue Jeans
I love Neil Diamond and I love Blue Jeans...and shortly after we started Stitched my brother asked when we were going to doing one about jean quilts so I could talk about Neil and my levis. Well, Jake, today is the day! I really love this episode and had so much fun researching the history of Levis, indygo, and of course talking about Neil. I hope you like it. You can listen to it here: Or subscribe to us on iTunes, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Google Play. Thanks for ... View the Post
Easy Ombre Quilt Pattern
Today we happy to share with you a simple, easy ombre quilt pattern that is quick and cute. We are calling it The Easy Ombre Quilt Pattern although, truth be told, it would work with any fabric combination...rainbow stripes of color...different florals...novelty fabrics...a combination of all of the above... And, speaking of truth...I got this fabric (a delightful pile of Riley Blake Solids) more than 2 years ago! I cut it out the very same day I picked it up...along with a second ... View the Post

But no, "fpp" is the slang term for foundation paper piecing--a quilting technique that really is ... View the Post
All My X’s Quilt
I finished this quilt last fall, but then realized I never posted it so you probably saw a few sneak peeks on instagram but never the full quilt. I used our Shine Bright Fabric line and the tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Company called "All My X's" and I love the way the quilt came out. I used a 10" stacker instead of the 5" squares and just cut them down and it worked perfectly. So, if you have a stacker laying around it's a good way to put it to use! I did add a border to the ... Stitched Episode 7: A Quilters Heart is Golden
I'm excited to share our newest episode of Stitched with all of you. It's an episode I have wanted to write from the moment we decided to go ahead with the podcast. It's a story of how I finally discovered the beautiful quilts of Gee's Bend...late one night in a city far away from home. You can listen to it here: Or you can find Stitched on iTunes, Spotify, and Google Play. Also...a little side note not included in today's podcast but something I will also always remember about ...
