A few weeks ago I shared this tutorial over at Somewhat Simple but have never posted it on our blog. So here it is---my $1 Cardigan Vest Tutorial. Over the past few months I've noticed women around town wearing long, knit, cardigan style vests...and I wanted one...but I was really pregnant...and anything with a belt wasn't in the cards...until now! Finally I was able to make myself a copy of what I've been envying. Here's what it looks like: And here is how to make it: #1. Buy a Men's ... View the Post
Raingutter Shelves
Recently I've seen DIY book shelves all over blogland so I figured what the heck...I'll throw mine into the mix. These are the book shelves that are in the preschool room here at my house. They aren't a novel idea (no pun intended) poor school teachers have been using this trick for years.......book shelves made from rain gutters....they are light weight, easy to transport, easy to hang, and perfect for displaying books. Tea Dying Old Onesies
Baby Ruth is our 3rd child and the poor girl is destined to wear more than her fair share of hand-me-downs. Like this pile of onesies...already worn by one brother and one sister...not as bright as they used to be...and even a little stained... But instead of making her wear them all dingy and sad I wanted to make them over into something I would actually want to put Ruth in. Finally I decided that the best solution would be dye. And I set about to revive an old love of mine----the tea ... View the Post
