For the Stripes and Polka-dot Sew Along this week, I decided to mix two of my favorite patterns---A Happy Tunic and the Bubble Skirt into a cheery outfit for winter. (We need cheer with the blehh weather and freezing temps we have been having.) We paired our polka-dotted creation with some striped leggings in aqua for the quick photo shoot....but I think we need some bigger stripes on the bottom so some new leggings might be in order too. I need to go and see what wide-striped-fabric I ... View the Post
Project Run and Play—Circle Skirt Remix Round-up
Last week Season 4 of Project Run and Play started and the challenge was to remix Dana's Circle Skirt. The contestants work proved to be a fun collection that included a variety of styles and fabrics including upcycled fabrics, summer tops, and even some frisky foxes. It was fun to see all of the unique styles.But....the designers weren't the only ones with creative ideas. This week over at Project Run and Play the theme is outerwear and since I can't resist making a little something to play along I pulled out Gracie's cape and finished it.Unfortunately Gracie is a little under the weather with a cold today so I took some pictures with her wearing her new spring cape inside. But all she wanted to do was to watch the snow melting ... View the Post
Project Run and Play

Every time one of the designers emails us their HTML and we take a peek, we call each other and gush. Serious gush. Because each design has been so amazing. And the Sew Along contest....well, we have been blown away by it too. When we talked about doing this at home sewing thing, we thought if we got 4 or ... View the Post
