Spring Lookbook: Easter Dress
The next look for Spring was actually Hannie's Easter dress. Well, and really it was her second Easter dress to boot. The first one had some major issues ;( So, the day before Easter when I finally succumbed to the fact that the first dress wasn't going to work, I got the idea for this dress and made it up in about 3 hours flat. I made the bodice from a sloper and then drafted the collar to fit. The back is a simple, invisible zipper and the whole thing was made from Kona cotton. (I love ... View the Post
You Can’t Judge a Pattern By Its Cover: Sabra from Sew A Straight Line
Today's pattern challenge is from our friend Sabra from Sew a Straight Line. We have had the opportunity to meet and chat with Sabra a few times and we always end up chatting all night. After I made this dress I got on an exaggerated-collar kick---so there will be lots more to ... View the Post
A Polka-Dotted Bubble Dress.
For the Stripes and Polka-dot Sew Along this week, I decided to mix two of my favorite patterns---A Happy Tunic and the Bubble Skirt into a cheery outfit for winter. (We need cheer with the blehh weather and freezing temps we have been having.) We paired our polka-dotted creation with some striped leggings in aqua for the quick photo shoot....but I think we need some bigger stripes on the bottom so some new leggings might be in order too. I need to go and see what wide-striped-fabric I ... View the Post
