Every year I am on the hunt for cute white t-shirts with a cute detail of some sort. Well, last year I found some really cute ones at Target, and this year I found these cute white tees at Walmart for exactly $5. So I picked up a couple. I think the ruffle detail at the collar is darling, and makes them look more expensive. The rest of the fabric was from my stash. The bow is actually a pin to take it off the dress before washing. I dislike crazy-washed bows....hence the pin.I have had ... View the Post
Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo...one of my spring favorites... It gives me an excuse to eat even more Mexican food than I normally do. (Which is a lot.) But what is Cinco de Mayo you ask? (Ok...you didn't ask but I'll be brief.) It is a holiday made up in California during the United States Civil War. The French had invaded Mexico and the Union feared that it would use Mexico as a base to supply the Confederate army. Gracie’s Easter Outfit

Easter Dress: Take 1
Over the weekend I finished up what I thought would be Gracie's Easter dress. This is it: I like it. It's simple and classic and an ENTIRE SIZE TOO BIG!!!! (I guess that is what I get for doing all my sewing while the person I am sewing for is asleep.) The pattern (one I have that is so old it has a patten number instead of a copyright date) is a size 2. And although Grace is almost 3 she is tiny and usually wears size 2 clothing. I thought it would be a perfect fit...but...I thought wrong. It ... View the Post
