Hello. Today I get to show you my sewing room. I've already shown you my "small sewing space" (which quite honestly is where I do most of my work). But this room is my "official" sewing room. This room is located in the far corner of our basement right next to the kids play room (with the infamous slide, installed by my husband without my knowledge, one night while I was at Elizabeth's house drafting patterns). The sewing room actually used to be the room where I taught preschool ... View the Post
Elizabeth’s Sewing Room
On Monday I shared my quilting space and today I am sharing my sewing room. Both of these rooms are in the basement and next to each other. This room was originally built as an exercise room....but let's face it....I would MUCH rather have a sewing space than an exercise space! The room itself is pretty small (I think it is 10 x12) but it is perfect for what I need it for. ... View the Post

I have carved out for myself a small sewing nook that I use everyday and LOVE (a lot) even if it won't ever be on the cover of a magazine. ... View the Post
Courthouse Steps (Quilt Block of the Month)
The Quilt Block of the Month of December is the Courthouse Steps. This is a great block for those just beginning to try their hand at patchwork and is still and enjoyable block to create for even the most experienced of quilters. The Courthouse Steps Block is actually a version of the Log Cabin Block which enjoyed its rise to fame in the United States during the civil war and has been a staple in the world of quilting ever since. Like the Log Cabin the Courthouse Steps block is built around ... View the Post
Pinners Conference Leftovers!!! Maxi Skirt Kits for Sale!
Over the weekend we got the opportunity to teach several classes at the Pinners Conference in Salt Lake City (and do a short segment on KUTV News' Morning Show about our classes...which is where the photos comes from...it's us with the Casey, the host of the show...at 6:30 in the morning). Two of the classes we were lucky enough to teach used our new maxi skirt pattern. We took measurements, cut out the pattern, and sewed up maxi skirts using the knit from our Four Corners Fabric line with ... View the Post
