I'm sure anyone could figure out how to make one of these but because I said we'd post instructions...#1. Layout chosen fabric on top of your board.#2. Cut the fabric to fit your board---allow yourself 2 extra inches on each side---enough to wrap it around and secure it on the back side.#3. Attach the fabric by stapling it to the back side.#4. Make your ruffle. (Should we post a step by step tutorial on ruffles?)#5. Hot glue (yes, hot glue, the love of my life) the ruffle along the line where ... View the Post
$5 Friday…An Old Felt/Cork Board Make-over Finished…Almost
Here it is...the finished version of my old felt/cork board.I chose some fabric I got on the clearance rack for $2.00 a yard at a fabric store in Provo. I paired that with a remnant roll of canvass I got at Wal-Mart for $2.17. Then I used a ruffle I left off of an apron I made last week. And finally I glued on some flowers from left over fabric pieces and a doilie I had leftover from the place mats I made.I love the results. I am dying to hang it on my yellow wall and add the quotes, ideas, etc. ... View the Post
$5 Friday…An Old Felt/Cork Board Make-over—In Progress

The board cost nothing (I've had it since I was a little girl) and I'm going to use some upholstery fabric I got from a $4.99 clearance grab bag at Home Fabrics or some "off the fold" clearance fabric I got at Ben Franklin's. I ... View the Post

Recently I picked up a bunch of these white vases. I bought them at a local thrift store and they cost anywhere from $0.25-$1.50 each. I love them, a lot, and I've been wondering what to do with them. Then this afternoon I knew what to do.It's the middle of May and the weather should be beautiful but so far it has been either cloudy, rainy, or snowy, like everyday. I'm going crazy. I need spring. Actually I need summer. And as I was putting away some items from a recent bridal shower and ... View the Post
