Being an elementary teacher was fun. And class party days--well, I ate them up. They were just so fun for the kids that I really, really enjoyed them. And while now I am staying at home with my kiddos, I just counted up the other day and I have been a Room Mom for eight years plus all the years I taught before that! That's a lot of class parties. ... View the Post
The Art of Homemaking–Don’t Wish Away the Ordinary Days.
There was one day last week that was particularly tough. I had a to-do list a mile long, but I found myself cleaning out the kids closets because the weather had taken a turn and suddenly fall was upon us and no one had any appropriate clothing in sight. I immediately went home and practiced and practiced, and although I am not an expert like she was---I have ... View the Post
A Fall Swing Coat

I sewed up the jacket and the lining at the end of last summer, but then when I tried them on to fit the length realized that they were both WAYYYY too big and put them away to try again this year. The fit is still a little big for this year, but hopefully that means that she will get this year and next year Spring and Fall out of it, so that's good news. ... View the Post
