Aside from sewing projects, some of my favorite gifts to give are fast and easy homemade recipes. Some of my favorites include cinnamon rolls (I need to share that recipe someday--it's a good never-fail one), homemades jams and my all-time favorite thing in the world--anything lemon. So, homemade lemon curd is always a great gift in my book for those that I know that love lemon too. ... View the Post
The Playhouse Teepee Pattern
For years (literally) Elizabeth and I have talked about putting out our own line of patterns. And I have no idea how many hundreds of hours we have spent drafting the patterns for this dream line. Countless dresses, skirts. sleeves, and collars have been drafted....and are lined up ready to go so it's kind of funny that our first ever pattern to be released is a teepee pattern!!!! Although...if I think about it....a playhouse teepee made for adventures with children only seems fitting to be ... View the Post
Double Chocolate Cookie Recipe
Every Friday night we have a pizza, treat and movie night with our family. It's one of those traditions that I don't know how much longer it will last as they grow up and become teenagers...so for right now I am holding onto it for as long as I can. We usually order out pizza (but sometimes do homemade) and then a treat. I am all for easy treats for movie night and these cookies fit that bill. They are gooey and chocolately inside and you can add anything you want into them--I usually add ... View the Post
Sewing Snippets

But, the good news is....that kindergarten starts up this week and I am hoping to catch a few minutes of sewing time throughout the week. I have been missing it! The only project I have gotten done in the last little while is ... View the Post
Little Big Stuff Book Review
We had the pleasure of meeting Michelle Jensen of Mixi Heart at Quilt Market this last spring where we were chatting all things quilting and long-arming....and she was kind enough to give us an advanced copy of her new book Little Big Stuff which is a delightful new sewing book. We saved it until now to blog about because it is now available to everyone and we don't just have to enjoy it for ourselves. You can find the book HERE (affiliate link) for under $14 dollars which is a great deal too ... View the Post
Riley Blake Back-to-School Tour
Today we are joining Riley Blake Designs for their Back to School Tour....and we are also getting to debut our knit fabric line and our NEW MAXI skirt which we are so very excited about. You should have seen liZ and I when we got to see the fabric in real life for the first time, we both couldn't stop petting it. The maxi skirt pattern will debut here in a couple of weeks (and some of you may even be getting it for free--true story!) both in PDF form and in paper patterns. They are at the ... View the Post
