While out shopping the other week, we came across these darling headbands. And although they were adorable, I wasn't up to the $24 dollar price tag that went with them. I told Hannie that I think we can make something similar that are still super cute. So, we came home and started on some proto-types to see if we could make some at home. We had about 4 different attempts but we finally found what we both were looking for! They are made from existing 1" angled headbands and they are so ... View the Post
Charming Churndash Quilt Pattern
We have another PDF pattern to release this month and this one is such a good one! As you know we love traditional quilt blocks and the Churndash is one of our favorites. We even wrote a whole podcast on the history of the Churndash quilt block itself that you can listen to HERE. So, naturally we needed a Churndash Quilt to go with it. I love the look of this block and you really can make it out of any traditional or modern fabrics and it will look great. I used a whole bunch of scraps ... View the Post
Peaches N’ Cream Quilt in Azure Skies
Our church group got together the last couple of months and sewed 15 quilts for all the girls in our congregation. So, a couple of weeks ago we presented 15 quilts to 15 girls for their upcoming adventures to all over the world. We used one of our favorite patterns to sew all the quilt tops so they would all be the same. But we could assembly line sew them up as well. We used the Peaches ... View the Post

Azure Skies Baby Romper
I have been making a few project out of Azure Skies that I am excited to show you. This baby romper is one of them and I was so excited to sew some kid clothes again. I made this for a baby shower and it turned out so cute. I love it. I used a vintage Simplicity pattern (Simplicity to be exact) and did the shorts version. The pattern size was 12 months so she should be able to wear it next summer or even next fall with a shirt and sweater. I did modify the pattern so as not to do snaps, but ... View the Post
Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas
I am always on the lookout for simple and easy meals. And these green chile chicken enchiladas are always a hit at our house! You can make them spicier (add more green chiles) or leave them mild as the recipe is written. And they also are great the next day for lunch! The other bonus point about this meal is that they freeze well unbaked so I always make a second dish. It's like another bonus meal for busy nights. For the chicken, I usually buy a rotisserie chicken that will do two ... View the Post
