I got my Churndash quilt back from Melissa last week and am excited to get some binding on it today. I think I am going with some sort of green but can't find what I want in my stash......which might mean a trip to the fabric store (who can resist that?). This guy is a big quilt.....the finished blocks are 9 1/2 if I remember right and the quilt is 6 rows across and 8 down with sashing in between. It's going to take quite a few nights of handsewing to get the binding on...but I promise to ... View the Post

Handmade quilt giveaway….just for one of you
When liZ and I started this adventure of a blog 4 years ago, we had no idea that we could even do it, or that people would want to read about our crazy sewing (and non-sewing adventures)...and well, that we could even come up with projects to blog about for a whole 30 days. Below is the quilt block pocket tutorial.... skirt fabric elastic ... View the Post

I think I love them most because they are simple (don't be afraid of the zipper part....they are easy!) and I can whip one up in an afternoon which is a quick success when it comes to sewing projects. I have created a short tutorial to show you how I make my easy quilted zipper pouches and I hope that you will try one. (And then you might get addicted too ;) ) I made this one for a quick gift this last week. I added in some ... View the Post
