March Book Challenge: Green With Envy
It is a new month and that means it is time for a new reading challenge and this month our challenge is called “Green with Envy”.
Which means we reading books with colors in the titles….and there are so many to choose from!
As usual I have a list of recommendations…books I have read…and books on my “to read” list.
Let’s start with some of my favorite books with colors in their titles:
Devil in the White City by Erik Larson:
I like this book so much I read it twice. It is non fiction that reads like a well written story…murder and mystery…but with facts and history….all surrounding the worlds fair. Such a good read.
Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery:
I grew up reading this book…over and over again. Matthew Cuthbert will always be my favorite.
The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins:
Classic Gothic slow burn mystery.
The Green Mile by Stephen King:
Not at all the story I was expecting from Stephen King. It was strange but not super creepy….sad but not scary.
Orange is the New Black by Piper Kerman:
I know this is like a Netflix series or movie…but I haven’t seen it. I did however, read the book. It was interesting and worth the read…but then again…I love me a non fiction read. 🙂
Of course, there are loads more of great books with colors in the titles….”The Golden Compass”, “A Study in Scarlet”, “Agnes Grey”, etc. but I just chose 5 of my favorite.
Now on to my list of books with colors in the titles that I want to still read:
Have you read any of these?
What other books with colors in the title should I add to my list?
The weather is still cold and stormy here…and I have walking pneumonia so I plan to stay in this weekend, sew, and listen to stories.
Now to decide which book to listen to first…..
Happy Reading!
