2023 Monthly Book Challenge
I had so much fun reading along with our 2022 Monthly Book Challenge that I wanted to do it again this year.
One of my favorite things to do is listen to an audio book while I sew and I’m looking forward to a year of good sewing and good reads.
So….in case you didn’t read along with us last year….here’s how it works:
- Each month we will post a challenge topic along with book suggestions.
- Then, each month, we will post again with recipes and patterns that are pair perfectly with the book suggestions.
- And then…..if you’d like, you can join us over on “The Stash” for more conversations about the books, the patterns, the recipes, etc.
This year one of my goals is to reset, center, and find myself again….and spending time reading and sewing goes hand in hand with that goal!
I’m excited to get started. So without further ado here are our monthly book challenge topics for 2023:
JANUARY: Start with a Finish
Read a book that you have started but have never finished.
FEBRUARY: Fairytale Retellings
Read a book that is a fairytale or a retelling of a fairytale.
MARCH: Green with Envy
Read a book that has a color in its title.
APRIL: With a Twist
Read a book that has some kind of twist or secret in the storyline.
MAY: True Crime
Read book that is true crime.
JUNE: Vacation Abroad
Read a book that takes place in another country.
JULY: On a Quest
Read a book that takes you on a journey, adventure, or quest.
AUGUST: Talk with the Animals
Read a book where the main characters are not human.
SEPTEMBER: Back to School
Read a Non-Fiction Book.
OCTOBER: Spooky Stories
Read a Mystery or Thriller
NOVEMBER: Somewhere in Time
Read a book that takes place either in the past or in the future.
DECEMBER: Ghosts of Childhood Past
Read a favorite book from your childhood….or any young adult fiction read.
So that is it! That is the year at a glance.
I can’t wait to get started. I’m really looking forward to this.
