November Reading Challenge: Stories to Stitch By
This month our challenge is to read something that “everyone” has read…except for you.
And you should join us this month….everybody’s doing it! π
For this challenge everyone will have a different list.
As for me, here are a few books that I always hear people talking about…but I haven’t ever read:
So…have you read any of those? Were they worth the read?

Now that we have covered some reads for the month itβs time find us some quilts to sew up.
This month I picked out two that I thought went nicely with the theme.
First up is our Hashtag PDF Quilt Pattern:
I picked the Hashtag since the theme is “everyone” is doing it. π
But…aside from having a fun name it is a fun quilt to sew up. It works with prints or patterns and is a quick sew…which is great if you are trying to whip up some homemade holiday gifts.
And, the second quilt we have for this month is our Courthouse Steps PDF Pattern:
Back in the day everyone would gather around the Courthouse (usually on the steps) to hear the news of the day….what was happening…all the gossip…so again, I felt like it was a good choice for an “everybody’s doing it” theme.
The Courthouse Steps is another simple pattern and a quick sew. It is also a great one to work on together as a group.
So there you have it….some reading and stitching picks!
What books haven’t you read that everyone has read????
(And which of the books on my list are worth reading!)
Linda Blakita says
I have read all but two, but I will add those to my reading list. Crying in H Mart and Midnight Library are now on my list. I loved all the other books, so you pretty much have a great list and can’t go wrong. We read all of them in our book club. A Man called Ove is wonderful, as was the Swedish movie. It is being released in December in an American version, called a Man called Ottto, starring Tom Hanks. He is just great in everything, I can’t wait to see it.
