Today I am excited to share another finished version of our Hashtag PDF Quilt Pattern.
I actually started sewing this up awhile back during one of our Mod Bee classes….and then it sat for a few weeks….until I finished it….and then it sat for a few months…until I had it quilted…and then it sat for a few more months…until I finally bound it last week!
But, I am so So SO glad I finally finished it up!!!
I am in love with this quilt…the solids, the florals, the colors….it all makes me so happy.
In fact, I loved the floral print so much that I used it in the quilt blocks and for the binding.
As for the back I used a super soft sheet with a simple print that I felt paired nicely with the simple vibe I was going for.
And then since I was so excited about the finished quilt I took it out this afternoon with my son, who is in high school, to take some pictures.
Here I am asking if where I am standing looks ok:
It really didn’t look ok…those are all weeds behind me….but I was scared to walk further into the field towards the corn…because…snakes.
Actually I was even scared just standing right there…that field behind me is a snake super highway!
So we just took a few quick pictures.
Like this gem:
My son thinks it is the best one. 🙂
The wind was blowing but we did finally end up with one single photo where I’m not dancing a jig and the quilt lays flat…
So we called it a win and went for sodas.
It was a good day.
And I am calling this a good quilt.
I love the fabric, I love the quilting, I love the binding, I love the fact that it is finished, I love the fact we didn’t see any snakes during pictures, and what I love most is the memories that I made today with my son out taking the pictures.
Because at the end of the day the love and the memories are the reason we quilt.
It was indeed a good day.
Happy Quilting.
