Mod Bee Holiday Edition
Today we are excited to announce a special Mod Bee Holiday Edition…1 day, 2 presenters, 5 patterns, 6 sessions, $25.
Tickets are on sale now and you can get them HERE.
This one day event will be held on Saturday, November 13th…but the videos of all the classes will be available in the private group for at least a year!
And while the official schedule will be coming soon you can check out the patterns and classes right now:
There will be two quilt classes..one will be our Scandinavian Snowflake Quilt Pattern:
This two colored quilt pattern is perfect for both beginner and intermediate sewists!
Using just over 3 yards of fabric this 4 paneled quilt makes a large size throw quilt that you will love for years to come.
Finished quilt size is approximately 53″ by 53″ but can be made large or smaller with different border fabrics.
And the other quilt will be working on during Mod Bee Holiday Edition is our Lucky Star Quilt Pattern:
Finishing up at 54.5″ x 56.5″ this quilt makes a great “couch quilt”.
It is also an easy sew that is perfect for use with pre cuts (which comes in handy when stitching up holiday gifts)!
The version of The Lucky Star in the photo above uses some earthy green and violet chambray squares (that I love) but the version we will be stitching up during the Mod Bee will use fun Christmas Fabrics!
Aside from the 2 quilt classes we will have 2 sewing classes:
One will be a quilt as you go tote bag:
The quilt as you go method we will be sharing is fun…and addicting…and can work with a variety of projects. But we will be using it to make this fun tote bag created with a pattern that you may recognize….that of an oversized Log Cabin Quilt Block!
It may look a little tricky but we promise it isn’t!
The other sewing class will be how to make children’s aprons:
These aprons are so easy to make and are created using only a dishtowel (easy to wash) and a package of double fold bias tape.
They are fun to make and fun to give….especially during cookie making season!
For this class I will be using some fun holiday dish towels that I just picked up at that store and are so so cute!
….And then….
We decided to add one more class for fun…something a little different:
Challah:
We both love to bake…a lot. And liZ especially loves to bake bread…all types from banana bread to babka and from honey whole wheat to challah…she loves it so much she has bread booths at Summer Farmer’s Markets and teaches community classes on how to make it.
So we decided to sneak in a baking class…because what goes better with the holiday’s than baking?
For this class liZ will be teaching you how to make, bake, and braid challah medallions (one of her personal favorites).
And then no Mod Bee would be complete without a session at the end where we give away fabric and prizes…but this year will be a little different…yes, there will still be giveaways but it will end with a “Sip and Share” where you can watch with your favorite drink in hand and share what you have been working on during the day or since the last Mod Bee. Elizabeth will also show how to make these fabric scrap ornaments as well!
It should be so much fun. We are looking forward to it!
So mark your calendars and get your tickets HERE.
See you then!
***NOTE: For more information about what the Mod Bee is you can check out THIS POST from our first Mod Bee…it will fill you in on the details of what the Mod Bee is all about.
Our usual Mod Bee will be back in the spring as usual…but until then we are REALLY EXCITED about the Holiday Edition coming next month!
