Today is a Gift Quilt Pattern
Today we are excited to release our “Today is a Gift” Quilt Pattern. We actually shared this pattern a few months ago with The Stash but then saved its official release to come in conjunction with our Christmas in July to celebrate our Warm Wishes fabric.
The “Today is a Gift” quilt pattern is a fun sew for those of all skill levels. Using 10” precuts the gift boxes come together quickly and with the addition of the half square triangle bows on top look adorable.
(And those 10″ squares for the gift boxes are a great way to showcase all those fun holiday fabrics that we all love!)
Inspired by the quote from Eleanor Roosevelt, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift, that is why it is called the present.” this quilt makes a good gift for the holidays, birthdays, or any day that needs celebrating!
As I worked in the basement, sewing up several of these quilt tops, during the holidays….during covid….my mind kept reflecting on how each day is a gift and to be celebrated. My girls helped choose fabric to make birthday quilts and Valentines quilts and “quilts for when you just have a bad day”.
And I thought…there are lots of hobbies that I love…like reading, painting, cooking…but making quilts…ah, that is one of the sweetest hobbies of them all…it let’s me give someone all my love to wrap themselves in…and how beautiful is that?
The Today is a Gift quilt top finishes up at 46″ x 54″ which makes it the perfect size for a holiday or special occasion throw and you can find the PDF pattern HERE.
Happy Quilting!
