Christmas Scavenger Hunt (Virtual)
Many of us are doing online activities with family and friends this holiday season. And one of the best activities that we have found are virtual scavenger hunts.
Here’s how they work:
#1. The person running the game gives something for the players to go find at their various locations. For example something red.
#2. Players then have 60 seconds (or longer depending on your players..but 60-90 seconds seems to be the magic time for us) to run and find something red.
#3. Those who return with something red before time runs out show what they found that is red and receive points for that item.
#4. When everyone has returned to their screens and all items have been shown points are tallied.
#4. The game then moves on to the next item.
#5. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Easy peasy…and fun for kids and adults…and often hilarious.
You can, of course, make your own list of items to find and assign your own points but here is a list (with points) that you can use…or just to give you ideas:
#1. Something Red (2 points)
#2. A Candle (4 points)
#3. A Cookie Cutter (4 points)
#4. Warm Socks (2 points)
#5. A Christmas Tree or something with a Christmas Tree on it (3 points)
#6. An Ornament (2 points)
#7. Something Chocolate (3 points)
#8. A Favorite book (2 points)
