The Movie in a Sentence Game
This is one of our family’s favorite random games to play around the campfire, in the car and through texts.
Here’s how to play:
#1. Condense the plot of a movie into one sentence. Tell (or text) that sentence to those who are playing.
#2. Everyone tries to guess the movie.
#3. The person who guesses correctly gets to say their movie in a sentence clue….and everyone guesses.
Here is an example:
I text…”Eccentric billionaire spares no expense to fulfill his lifelong goal of opening an amusement park, but accepts the lowest bidder for the IT.”
Then my siblings, friends, whoever text back guesses.
When someone guesses “Jurassic Park”, which is the correct answer, that round is over and the person who guessed correctly gets to text their own movie in a sentence.
This game can go on forever….because the same movie could be condensed in a variety of different ways.
For example Jurassic Park could also be told as:
“Man buys private island to house his large lizard collection.”
OR
“Life found a way”
The sentences can be as easy or as obscure as the group that you are playing with.
