How to Make Half Rectangle Triangles:
Recently I have really enjoyed making and incorporating half rectangle triangles into my projects. They are easy to make and are a fun twist on traditional half square triangles.
Here’s how to make them:
#1. Cut out two rectangles that are the exact same size from coordinating fabric.
#2. Cut each rectangle in half diagonally.
#3. Switch and pair up the coordinating halves…lining them up the way you want them to look in the finished block.
#4. Lay the halves on top of one another, RST (right sides together), aligning them along the diagonal.
#5. Stitch along the entire diagonal using a 1/4 inch seam allowance. Then open and press.
#6. Square up your block and you are ready to go!
