Color and Print Choices for Quilting:
Today we thought it would be fun to share a mini trunk show of sorts to demonstrate how color and print choices can affect your quilt patterns.
For example this quilt:
and this quilt:
are both made from our “Make it Over the Weekend” Quilt Pattern but, they look like completely different quilts!
However, the only real difference is fabric choice. (And one is quilted while the other has been tied…other than that they are exactly the same.)
To see other other examples as well as variations on sashing and how backing fabric can affect the front of a quilt when making rag quilts check out this video:
And…for more information about the quilt patterns shown in the video you can check them out by clicking on each one below:

Choosing fabric is such a fun (and important) part of creating quilts. It’s a chance to infuse style and personality into this craft we all love.
Hopefully our video will give you some ideas and inspiration when it comes to choosing fabric for your next quilt top!

Happy Quilting!
***And….if you sew up one of our quilt patterns please share a photograph of it with us! It is so fun to see your pattern choices and personal styles.
We love to see your work.
