Today I am FINALLY sharing a quilt that I made almost an entire year ago…our Picnic Quilt Pattern!
It was actually the first quilt we sewed up together with the ladies in our STASH group.
Our Picnic Quilt Pattern which is a super fun…and super simple quilt pattern. Essentially it is just rows of snow ball quilt blocks..
…with 4 patch blocks in between them!
Easy peasy!
And the result is darling. Every single time! No matter what fabrics you choose.
For this quilt I chose to use prints from some Riley Blake Designs cat inspired lines called Meow and Meow II.
My youngest daughter LLLLOOOOOVES this fabric.
SO much in fact that I took the left over pieces that I had and stitched them together in big sections to make the back.
I think she might even like the back better than the front.
But I think my favorite part is the binding…I stitched together the scraps left over from the backing to make a scrappy binding that, I think, adds even more interest to the quilt.
So there you have it…almost a year later!
To read more about the picnic quilt, and to see it sewn up in different fabric, you can read THIS POST where we talk about one of the first picnic quilts we ever created.
And to purchase the PAPER version of this quilt pattern you can find it HERE in our shop.
OR…to purchase the PDF version of this quilt pattern you can find it HERE in our shop.
*NOTE: The Picnic Quilt is a large quilt finishing at 63″ x 72″ however, when I made my cat print version I left off the top and side row to make it a smaller size for my daughter to use as her “couch quilt”.
Happy Quilting!
