Rolo Pretzel Turtles are easy to make and yummy to eat….and we’ve made trays and trays worth of them this month.
All you need to make these tasty treats are 3 ingredients:
Pretzels
Rolos
Pecans
Once you have your 3 ingredients get a cookie sheet and line it with parchment paper. (Meanwhile preheat your oven to 350 degrees.)
Spread out several rows of pretzels on top of the parchment paper.
Next place a single Rolo on top of each pretzel.
When all the pretzels are topped place your cookie sheet into the preheated oven.
Only leave these in the oven for about 5 minutes. (Just until the Rolos get melty but not melting all over the sheet.)
Take the cookie sheet out of the oven and while the Rolos are still warm and melty squish a single pecan on top of each Rolo.
Allow to cool (or chill in the refrigerator) and you are ready to snack on your Pretzel Rolo Turtles!
Easy peasy and super yummy…chocolatey, salty, nutty…delicious!
And from start to finidh the whole project should take about 15 minutes….plus there are no dishes, pots, pans, or bowls to wash.
Easy and yummy…that is my kind of holiday snack!
Happy snacking!
Note: You can also play around with putting other items on top of the Rolo besides the pecans! My girls like to make them plain, without the pecans, but they also have experimented and have changed out the pecans for raisins, dried cranberries, coconut flakes, etc. and have come up with some pretty tasty combinations!
