Today I’m excited to share an easy hot chocolate charcuterie board that you can use at gatherings throughout the holiday season.

Although…admittedly…this isn’t a board. It is a tray I bought over the summer and LOVE. I use it ALL THE TIME.
(I tried to find a link to it and can’t find the exact tray but you can find ones similar HERE and HERE.)
With the hot chocolate charcuterie I do prefer to use a tray with sides because most often I am putting this together for a gathering that involves children, tweens, and teens….and that is a messy group…so sides help keep all the ingredients and goodies contained in a small space.

Alright! Now that we gotten the board vs tray issue out of the way let’s get to the good stuff…what’s on the tray!
Here is what I usually include on the tray:
Milk Chocolate Hot Chocolate Powder
Dark Chocolate Hot Chocolate Powder
Perro Powder (I know, not everyone is a fan but I’ve loved Perro ever since my grandpa made it for me as a child.)
Marshmallows
Himalayan Pink Salt
White Chocolate Chips
Mini Dark Chocolate Chips
Peppermint Sticks
Cinnamon Sticks
Milk Duds
Caramels
Peppermints
Andes Mints
Whipping Cream

It’s all just fun stuff that tastes yummy mixed with hot chocolate! Other things you could add could be:
Candy Canes
Large Marshmallows
A Shaker of Nutmeg
Butterscotch Chips
Hazelnut Syrup
Orange Zest
The options are endless…which makes a hot chocolate charcuterie easy and fun to both put together and use!

*Two Tips:
#1. I find it easiest to have the hot water needed for hot chocolate heated before hand and then poured into an insulated dispenser. We use a red thermal cooler and line up the mugs right next to the cooler.
#2. Charcuteries always look more festive when the tray or board is full.

I usually place all the items that are unwrapped or need spoons into individual containers and place them on the board first.

Then I add wrapped ingredients around the dishes. This gives party guests more taste options and also makes the board/tray look full and fun!

I am finding more and more often that charcuterie boards are now my go to for almost any gathering. They are simple to put together and are always a hit.

I’m excited to share more of them with you over the next few months!
