Today we are excited to release our Chips and Salsa Quilt Pattern.
Growing up my dad worked nights as a cook at a Mexican restaurant. A delicious local Mexican restaurant that would become a staple in the memories of my childhood…with Friday nights spent there with my family eating chips and salsa.
Chips and salsa…it’s the comfort food of my family. There isn’t a single, solitary family event…from family reunions to Sunday dinners to Christmas parties where the salsa isn’t flowing.
We love chips and salsa so much we make salsa in batches 5 gallons at a time…every other month!
So it was only a matter of time before I made a quilt pattern to celebrate my love for chips and salsa….
The pattern isn’t super literal….the red square in the middle is the salsa while the triangles that surround the center are the chips….but the colors I used on this first quilt are the literal colors of my favorite mexican restaurants.
I have sewn up several other of these quilts…some with chambray and some with florals and some with Christmas prints…all of which I will share soon…and they look darling with this pattern. But, for the release I wanted to share the original in all of it’s solid colored glory.
This quilt is a quick sew….and is a great “couch quilt” size…and I love it…and you can find the PDF pattern HERE.
Happy quilting and Happy chips and salsa-ing!
