This month we are excited to have one of our quilt patterns featured in American Quilter Magazine.
We met American Quilter several years ago at a Babylock event and became fast friends, so when they invited us to submit a quilt, we were thrilled. And so the Marigold Quilt just came out in the September 2019 issue of American Quilter.
The quilt itself is based off of a vintage quilt that I took a picture of in an estate sale (but unfortunately was WAYYYY out of my budget) many years ago, but it was one of the most beautiful quilts I have ever seen. And I love the simplicity of the two blocks that are in it (does that surprise you? it did me when I examined the quilt), that together make an amazing pattern.
I am dreaming of one in all reds and one green for Christmas, wouldn’t that look so beautiful! Or it really would make the perfect neutral quilt for a baby or a lap quilt for someone older. It’s one of those vintage quilt block patterns that looks so modern done in all solids.
You can check out more of the issue HERE and see our Marigold Quilt as well as some other fantastic features that are in the quilt, including some of the tiniest, cutest quilt blocks I have seen. And they have inspired me to do some teeny, tiny sewing this fall….they are worth going to see! You can purchase a copy of the magazine HERE or sign up for a subscription yourself!
Are you starting on any holiday projects yet? I keep pulling things out to sort them throughout this week and I am telling you all this so I can hold myself accountable for sorting things out and making a list. I promise to update you next week on what’s coming up…
