What is Mod Bee?
Mod Bee is a 3 day, online conference full of interactive quilting classes taught by some of the internet’s favorite quilters. And, it is SO MUCH FUN!!!
When is Mod Bee?
The Fall edition of Mod Bee will be held September 26-28 (Thursday-Saturday) *But don’t worry if you aren’t available for all the classes…each class is recorded and you can watch them whenever and where ever you like for the next 11 months!*
All access tickets to the event can be purchased HERE for $75 but….if you enter the code SIMPLESIMON at checkout you get $20 off the price!
When you register for the Mod Bee you receive:
*Access to a private Facebook group where 6 sessions will be held every day during the conference
*12 PDF quilt or quilting project patterns to download for the classes. (PDF Patterns will be available for download prior to the conference beginning so that you can be prepared to sew along with the classes of your choice!)
*Automatic entry to win daily prizes during the conference
*Continued access to the videos that will remain posted throughout the remainder of the year.
Why a fall edition of Mod Bee?
That’s easy…we LOVED the spring edition so much we couldn’t wait an entire year to do it again! And…as luck would have it…while March is National Quilting Month, September is National Sewing Month so it worked out perfectly to hold a quilting conference during each of those months!
Honestly is was so fun to interact with all the participants and teachers during the conference and then to see all the finished projects popping up in the facebook group….it felt like an old fashioned quilting bee community…and we couldn’t wait to do it all over again!
To enter to win a free ticket to Mod Bee just leave us a comment telling us a teacher, a pattern, or a class that you would like to see at Mod Bee.
And to purchase a ticket simply click HERE. (Just remember to use the code SIMPLESIMON at checkout to get $20 off the price!)
Then…watch for more details to come…photos, teachers, class descriptions….this edition is going to be a good one!!!

I’d love to learn how to do a Cathedral Window block.
I bought a quilt kit called Moon Glow by Jenny Beyer and after looking through the kit, promptly put it back in the packaging – that was 5 years ago. Would love for a teacher to tackle that quilt project and break it down into manageable size for a novice like me.

For a small project i would love to have Bev (Flamingotoes) teach a class on how to make her cute embroidery hoop art. Maybe a fun Fall or woodland animal themed one?

I would like to see a simple paper piecing lesson taught. I am curious to try but worried I won’t be able to figure it out on my own.

I would love a class with Carolyn Friedlander.

Sara Lawson of Sew Sweetness is a great teacher and her Paladin Pouch would be a great tutorial for ModBee!
