Our church group got together the last couple of months and sewed 15 quilts for all the girls in our congregation. All of the girls were graduating from high school, and it was quite the feat to pull off. But, we did it! So, a couple of weeks ago we presented 15 quilts to 15 girls for their upcoming adventures to all over the world.
We used one of our favorite patterns to sew all the quilt tops so they would all be the same. But we could assembly line sew them up as well. We used the Peaches N’ Cream pattern which I love because it uses pre-cuts so it’s a quick sew quilt top.
We had the girls choose their favorite colors. Then we put together the quilt tops as best we could with the colors they chose. They all turned out different. Some were lots of colors, sometwo colors, some in solids and one in all different shades of purple. They were so fun to see each girl’s personality in each quilt and to give them a send off on their future plans.
And while we were assembly line sewing, I added this Azure Skies quilt into the mix. I think this was the 6th or 7th quilt top I made in the months of April and May. I think it might be one of my favorites ever! I LOVE the colors in it and I think it is the perfect pattern to show off Azure Skies.
